How Will You Choose to Spend Your 168 Hours This Week?

168. That is how many hours each and every one of us is given each week. According to the American Time Use Survey, the average person spends about 60.9 hours a week working, 53.9 hours sleeping, 7 hours eating, 7.7 hours doing household activities, 17.5 hours engaged in leisure activites and sports, and 9.1 hours caring for others. If my math is correct, that leaves roughly 11.9 hours unaccounted for each week.

Thoughts Have Power

Today's meditation focused on our thoughts and the power they have in our lives. Take a moment and ask yourself: Are you leading your thoughts, or are your thoughts leading you? Who sets the GPS coordinates of your mind? The more you focus on your thoughts the further you are from experiencing the present moment. I spoke about different steps you can take to bring yourself fully back to the present moment and master your thoughts before they master you. If you weren't able to join in yesterday, don't worry! My Monday Meditations will continue each and every Monday at Noon, Eastern Standard Time. You can register for this event at any time and join in via computer, tablet, or even phone. Even if you aren't able to join in for the live meditation, be sure to register to receive a link to the replay so you can still benefit from this extraordinary meditation experience.

Meditation is power!
