What's Your TRUE ID?

Tired of walking around life with a FAKE ID? Beware: The Universe might card you! Don't break the LAW, the Law of the Universe. It's about time you surrender your fake old ID and embrace your authentic one! Life is happening right here, right now. How are you choosing to live it? Are you living it with all your honesty, authenticity and integrity? Are you doing everything you can to live fully? Or are you doing just enough to get away with pretending like you are "living it"? What's the TRUTH? Be honest.

So what's your true ID? If I may ask again. Are you defined by what happened to you in your past? Are you still reliving the pain, anger and sadness that streams from events that occured a long, long time ago? Have you surrendered your present moment to the prison of your old belief systems? Where are you in your life? Are you here right now? Or are you an upset 10 year old who didn't find resolution with some unfortunate thing that happened to you?

For many years I lived in the movies of my past. I rewound, zoomed in and replayed scenes in s l o w  m o t i o n. It used to be excruciating, painful and horrible – an assured early death. In fact, I was so attached to my past that I thought it was still a reality. It was an indestructible, irrevocable, undeniable TRUTH! And who was I to change the TRUTH? Who was I kidding? THIS was it. This was who I was - my history. I had completely defined myself by what had happened  to me. I was worthless. I was dirty. I was damaged. The list goes on.

But hold on.

(Enter: The Universe)

The Universe: ID please?

Me: Here it is. (ID reads - Name: Richa, Age: 23, Height: 5'4", A Worthless, Damaged and Dirty Girl)

The Universe: Really? You think THIS is your TRUE ID? My child, do you know you are breaking the Law, MY Law, the Law of the Universe, by showing me this FAKE ID? Will you wake up? Can you get real with me for just a minute? What happened to all the gifts and talents I gave you? What about the seeds of love, laughter and peace I planted within you? Why have you not nurtured them? Do you expect fruit from a tree you haven't watered or cared for? How are you expecting your life will show up happy and fulfilled if you are still so stuck in anger, sadness and pain? What you love will grow with love my child. I need you to wake up right now. Embrace who you truly are. What you hand me here is a FAKE ID. Wake up to your true ID – your INNER DIVINE. You are my child, a divine spark of the Universe. Why would you deny the beauty, vastness and depth of your spirit? Why do you limit yourself by what happened? Why are you not celebrating the gift that is YOU my dearest?

(Long pause)

(OK, very long pause)

Me: So, I can be free of my history? None of it was real? I mean, it did happen, but that was a long time ago. It's not reality now, it really isn't. My anger, pain and sadness can be released? This could be a whole new ME!

The Universe: No, silly, this IS the real YOU. You are finally getting it. 

Me: (excited) So, if I am not all THAT any more, then that means everything is possible for me? There is a light at the end of the tunnel? Yes there is! I am getting it Universe, I am getting it. There is a light at the end of the tunnel and I see it now. The light is within me. This is awesome! (overwhelmed with joy)

(Long pause)

(Exit: Universe)

(Slow fade out)

Loud buzzer of the alarm goes off. My eyes open wide. I feel different. What just happened?

I saw myself for the first ime. I could see who I truely was with my gifts, talents and seeds for happiness, joy and love. I shredded my old fake ID. I embraced my TRUE ID – my INNER DIVINE. I started truly LIVING IT! No more breaking the Law of the Universe. No more living life without honesty, authenticity and integrity. No more being a prisoner of my old way of thinking. I was free. I could leave the past where it belonged – in the past. I could empty my cup and receive all that the Universe was trying to give me. 

And I received.
