Get Out of Your Own Way

For the longest time I couldn't understand what my blocks were to a successful life, and then one day I discovered they were block created by me, yours truly, moi. It was when I started to practice meditation and transformation that I was able to see that manifesting my deepest desires had always been in my grasp, I was just unable to see it and connect with it because I was in my own way.

You know what it's like when you're doing your spring cleaning and the house is cluttered with stuff? You're cleaning out closets and cabinets in the hopes of getting rid of the things you don't need and neatly organizing the rest. The same goes with life.

As time goes on, we allow things, people, events, and commitments to muddle up our lives. We become overwhelmed with the lives we have built; lives we thought were the ones we wanted and that would bring us happiness and fulfillment. But what really happens is that in trying to do a little bit of everything we get a whole lot of nothing done. We spread ourselves too thin and when we look back in a state of overwhelm, we realize that our lives are no longer our own. We belong to our "Yeah, I'll be there"s and our "No problem, I'll get that done"s . We are unconsciously setting road blocks in our own way; blocks that keep us from finding peace, happiness, and bliss in our lives.

I found this to be true in my life as well. It is so easy to have a servant's heart and want to help out with everything that comes along, but sometimes we have to tell ourselves that it's okay to say no. It's okay to not do everything all at once, but to step back, make a well-organized plan, and follow through. It's so easy to get caught up in everything that life has to offer that we become "Jacks of all trades and masters of none" so to speak.

When I realized that the roadblocks in my life were placed there by none other than me, I knew it was time to take action. I had a vision for where I wanted to be, but the path was unclear. It was then that I realized I needed to step back, focus on my breathing, calm my thoughts, remove myself from that situation...meditate and transform. This has significantly changed my life. No longer do I feel like I am a prisoner to my life. No longer do I contend with the overwhelm that once consumed me. I know that I have the tools that I need to center myself and find the peace and contentment that will lead me down the path of contentment and bliss. My goal in my business is to help each and every one of you get to this place in our lives as well.

It's time to do some cleaning. It's time to go through the closets and cupboards of our lives, rid ourselves of all of the things that do not serve our higher purpose and move ahead with the things that do. It's time to take back our lives and tell overwhelm to hit the road. It's time to get out of our own way and make 2023 a great year!

Sacred Affirmations for this moment:

I acknowledge that it's okay to say "no" when things are asked of me and I feel overwhelmed.

I acknowledge that my life is my own and I need to follow the path that serves my higher purpose.

I forgive myself for allowing things in my life to take over and dictate my happiness.

I give myself permission to use meditation and transformation to center myself and conquer the overwhelm in my life.
