Letting Go and Moving On

You are always exactly where you are supposed to be.

Think about this statement for a moment. Really take time to let this settle into your mind. You are always exactly where you are supposed to be. What do you think this means?

So many of us live our lives full of self-doubt. We wonder "What could I have done differently?" or "Why haven't I been able to reach my goals yet?" The fact is that many of us allow these self-limiting doubts, doubts brought on by failures or disappointments in our pasts, to ruin our present moments. This is the danger of living in the past.

When we live in the past, we are missing out on the present moment...reality, the here and now. When you really think about it, the past only exists in our minds. Our memory tells us it is there, but we can't go back to that time and place and we can't change our choices or events. When we put it that way, isn't it rather silly to spend so much of our time worrying about what could have, or should have, or would have happened "if only..."when we cannot have any effect on those things whatsoever?

Take a moment to consider whether or not lugging around the baggage from the past is serving your higher purpose. Is choosing to carry these thoughts and feelings around with you every day helping you to reach your goals and live your life to the fullest? If the answer is no, then it's time to say your final good-byes to those things and send them packing. Surround yourself with positive energy and positive things will come to you.

Marianne Williamson said, "We do not heal the past by dwelling there. We heal the past by living fully in the present." Each day we are given on this planet is a gift. And while all of us have made mistakes; we all have choices we would love to take back or get the proverbial "redo" on, but the reality is that at every single moment of our lives we are exactly where we are supposed to be. Mistakes happen so we can learn from them and grow. Once we have learned the lesson that we were meant to learn, we release those things and let them reside in the past where they belong. There are no hitch-hikers allowed on this trip!

It's time to shed the skin of the past, forgive ourselves for what we may have done or failed to do, and be grateful to have another day to begin again; to make our lives and the lives of those around us richer and more fulfilling. It's time to let go of the baggage and live! It's time to consciously create a life for ourselves where we can find happiness and contentment.

My challenge for you is this; every day for the rest of this week I would like you to focus on one thing in your life that you feel is holding you back from reaching your higher purpose. Then I want you to pause, breathe, and release that one thing and let it go from your life. Lastly, I want you to focus on one aspect of your life that brings you happiness and bliss.

Sacred Affirmations for this moment:

I acknowledge all of the self-limiting beliefs that reside within me.

I give myself permission to release these beliefs and to free myself to live a life of abundance and bliss.

I am grateful for each new day to begin anew on this journey through life.

I can do all things when I believe whole-heartedly in myself and my abilities.

Take a few moments to reflect on these thoughts, share and discuss this blog. Your insights could help another reader, so don't hold back, share the love. Tell me what you think? What were you present to when you read this article, Letting Go and Moving On? I am so honored that you spent time in this sacred space with me. You make a difference in the Universe, always remember that! Now don't hold back, speak your truth! The Universe is listening.....!
