Hey, I'm Talking To You!

Far too often words have been minced and the truth has been lost. So, hey there you! I am talking to you! So listen!

Are you happy? What are you doing with your life? Are you being true to yourself? Yes, I am just coming straight out and asking you this point blank. What do you want? Who are you? What is your life for?

Are you waiting for the right moment, the opportune time, the stars to align? Is your life passing you by? Does every birthday go by leaving you a year behind on you having achieved what you know you could have achieved by now? What are you doing with your life? Are you living your life authentically? Are you speaking your truth? Are you?

Recently I lost someone I knew very well. He ended his life, what seemed like, quite suddenly. Like too many others before him, he was gone, and so was his potential. What seemed sudden to me wasn't so sudden for him. He had been suffering silently, bottling up his true pain, depression and sadness for decades.

His loss made me think of how many people might be living unfulfilled lives like he did but having perfected the art of wearing a mask and covering it all up.

I don't know how else to say this other than PLEASE STOP! covering up your pain. I beg you. Please STOP!

Share. Share yourself. Share your heart. Share your sadness, anger, frustrations and grief. Don't' hide them. Don't hide yourself. Please don't.

You are a friend to someone. A son, daughter, lover, father, mother or soulmate to somebody on this planet. Don't deny them the honor of being there for you. Share yourself and not one day, some day, maybe.....when the stars align and the longitude and the latitude are at the perfect coordinates. Share yourself now. Don't make up reasons to not live your best life ever!

In a blink of an eye this life is gone. We are only but a thought away from our limitless potential or sudden death. Spread healing and compassion and live your light, shine your light. Don't hold back a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g......!!!

I came across this poem and thought I'd share it with you all:

I'm Hiding- Deep Inside

© Rachel Zalakos

Can no one see this smile I'm faking,
See how, inside, I'm constantly shaking?
These people all claim they know me well,
Yet no one can see through my crumbling shell?

"I'm fine", I whisper, my sadness unknown,
They leave me to deal with this anguish alone.
I've hidden behind this wall most of my life,
I've managed so far, I've dealt with my strife.

Watching as, slowly, my blood leaks away,
It helps to keep life's true horrors at bay.
I pull down my sleeve to cover my hurt,
For approaching footsteps, I'm on the alert.

I guess my pretense is just all too real,
No one has to know of the pain that I feel.
The real me inside, where no one can see,
I can fool everyone else, why can't I fool me?
